What is NEET?
NEET, a popular Indian medical entrance exam conducted by NTA, is targeted by lakhs of students. It is one of the most formidable exams to crack. The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) is a medical entrance exam applicable to all universities and prestigious institutions in India, conducted by the NTA ( National Testing Agency).
How did it come to be?
Before NEET existed, States and highly prestigious institutions had their admission tests like AIIMS, JIPMER, IMS-BHU, CMC Vellore, etc. After several glitches in the process, the Supreme Court finally gave it a green signal, and it became the sole medical entrance exam.
The student has the option to choose. They can write the exam in 13 different languages. For instance, English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Punjabi, etc.

NEET Syllabus
The NEET syllabus is the same as the course in classes 11 and 12th. Because in 11 and 12th all the basic foundation is set for the students. However, some repairs have been made to the curriculum. The Medical Education Board is an autonomous body under the NMC (National Medical Commission) removed and added several topics and chapters in the syllabi. Such that it has some resemblance with other state board curricula for classes 11 and 12.
Eligibility For Applying
A candidate is only eligible to apply for the NEET exam if they are 17 years of age or older. Also, students should have qualifying marks of 50% (General) and 40% (OBC) in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. Checking the category before applying is important to do so to gain an understanding of seat distribution.
